Created in 2001 by director Ruth Baigent, we now have 13 years of experience under our belt and have been putting on musicals and pantomimes on an annual basis during this time. In January 2014 we put on our pantomime 'Robin's Hood ' followed by 'Alice in Wonderland' in July. We are now looking forward to our next production (to be confirmed).

Class Act Group Philosophy
Set up in 2001 by Ruth Baigent, we are an amateur musical theatre group based in Witney, Oxfordshire. We aim to produce a high standard of musical shows, traditional musicals (eg. Scrooge, Wizard of Oz, The Sound of Music, Calamity Jane, Annie etc) pantomimes (eg Cinderella, Peter Pan, Aladdin, Snow White and the 7 dwarfs etc,) or variety shows whilst at the same time learning to develop musical, dramatic and dance skills. We believe that taking part in Class Act develops self-confidence, team work and individual potential whilst having an enjoyable time.
Where we are unique in this area is that all Class Act members appear in the same show. We know that the benefits of having all ages working together on the same show are huge, not least in that everyone has an opportunity to observe a variety of acting and singing skills but also communication across the age range is mutually valuable. In addition this approach encourages families to have a shared interest and for individuals to be part of a multi aged group.
